The rule, stated plainly
Access to the Parque Natural del Islote de Lobos is capped at 400 people per day, in two shifts of 200. Every visitor needs an authorization issued by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura. There is no legitimate way around that, and anyone selling you a "no permit needed" landing is misdescribing the trip.
How the official permit works
The Cabildo publishes two visit periods: 10:00–14:00 and 14:00–18:00, with a maximum of 200 visitors in each period. Apply on LobosPass.com, enter each visitor exactly as shown on their identity document and keep the authorization on your phone.
The Cabildo's published rules describe a short advance-booking window. Because the live calendar controls the dates currently open, check LobosPass before choosing a ferry time rather than relying on an old availability screenshot.
What ferry authorization processing means
Some ferry booking flows offer to submit the authorization details for you. Nortour currently lists this as an optional service and also states that you can request the authorization yourself for free through LobosPass. Processing is a convenience service, not a different kind of permit and not a promise that unavailable public capacity can be bypassed.
Check two things before paying:
- Does the trip land on Lobos? Some sailing and snorkeling tours stay at sea.
- Does the selected fare explicitly include authorization processing? Do not assume it from the operator name alone.
Children, groups and documents
Every person who lands needs to be included, including children. Have the identity details for the whole party ready before you start, and make sure the visit period is compatible with both the outbound and return ferry on the same ticket.

If you cannot get on at all
